This is just a fun project I want to work on. For now, it'll just be a support group for older people who still are into fitness.

About me: I've been unofficially incorporating chair yoga movements (and art) into my ESL classes for the past 20 years. It helped calm my students down. I'm considering to officially merge chair movement and English with a few different niches: elderly people, office workers, and ESL students.

Let's have some fun discussions! Here are some possible future topics:

    • Older people need fitness more than younger people, but fitness is looked at as a young person's activity.

    • Young people didn't invent fitness. Most Youtube videos these days about fitness seem to just be repackaged with flashy special effects and are in HD, but I don't see much new information.

    • Chair yoga is something people of ALL ages can do. There are actually many different levels.

    • Older people who act young and want to stay active get critisized by younger people AND older people.

    • Chair yoga could represent something people can do at any age. It could be looked at as "cool" like skateboarding.

    • Chairs are everywhere. They can remind people about fitness. They're at parks, in offices, and in schools.

    • Nobody has to just to stick to just one type of fitness. Mix things up and keep it fun.

    • Personal trainers in gyms are annoying. If there's a day you don't want to work out, you can just talk about fitness to stay motivated. There's evidence that even thinking about fitness can be beneficial.

    • Ageism is getting out of hand nowadays. I think it's because of social media.

    • I'm not interested in having a young 21 year old personal trainer at a commericla gym teaching me about fitness. That is unlunless he works with doctors at research lab at a famous university. Then I would be VERY intested. Tell me more! :)

    • Due to my previous jobs, I actually prefer to stand or sit on a floor if I'm on a computer, but many people sit on a chair all day long. Ergonimics are very important.

    • Despite what AI and most bloggers are saying online, geting older really CAN suck, but it doesn't have to. I believe it's all about the people you hang out with. They can create happiness, but finding a group of people your age who see eye-to-eye isn't an easy task.

    • To avoid stress, I think it's sometimes best just not to say anything too controversial. Do what you want, just don't hurt anyone. Just saying, "Ok." has helped me a lot in the past.I like to stay chill these days.

    • I hate white onions, but I LOVE fried garlic. How ironic? Haha!

    • Intermittent fasting has only been popular for a short while. I started when I was at university as a poor college student.

    • Movement can be anything. Ping pong could be considered movement

    • Personal training isn’t rocket science. Some try to make it more complicated than it has to be

    • Finding older people to play sports with is very difficult. It’s hard finding interesting friends. Most people just go to work, come home, and sleep.

    • People who do chair yoga can also do other types of yoga

    • Many, many people are now graduating with an “ESL” degree. It’s time I make a slow exit

    • Power lifter can benefit from yoga and yogis can benefit from power lifting

    • Sometimes people misinterpret the information or get a watered down version. For example dark chocolate is said to activate stem cells, but the first chocolate I tried, didn’t do much. I think it was fake chocolate.

    • I get more motivation doing yoga if I’m around other people.
